Make Peace Before You Worship

đź“– Matthew 5:23-25

"Make peace with your brother, then come and present your gift."

Before we offer anything to God—whether it's prayer, worship, or even communion—Scripture reminds us to make peace in our hearts. This doesn’t mean we have to wait until the other person apologizes. You can make peace with someone through prayer, releasing the pain and choosing forgiveness, even if they never ask for it.

Why? Because unforgiveness is a burden we were never meant to carry. It can eat away at our joy, our peace, and even our sense of self-worth. Jesus shows us a better way. He offers us the freedom of forgiving others just as He has forgiven us.

💭 It’s a tough choice, I know.

I’ve felt the sting of past hurts too. Even when you think you’ve moved on, the pain can still pop up. But remember: forgiveness is an act of strength, not weakness. When that old resentment flares up, we can say:

_"Lord, I forgive them. I release them in Jesus' name. I pray blessings on them, because you love all people, even those who've hurt me."_

It’s not always easy, but it brings healing to your heart and freedom to your soul.

👉 Take time to examine your heart today

Scripture also tells us to examine ourselves *before* partaking in communion or worship. Is there anyone you need to forgive? Any unresolved conflicts? If so, make peace with them—not for their sake, but for your own.

🌿 Only the pure in heart will see God (Matthew 5:8). You can’t stay burdened and expect to experience the fullness of God's presence. Trade your bitterness for His joy! 🙌🏽

✨ Prayer for Peace ✨

_"God, I invite Your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me fully—find any hurt, anger, or unforgiveness. Lead me back to Your peace, and show me the path of healing and restoration. Thank You for Your forgiveness. Help me to forgive others the way You have forgiven me. Amen."_

– Psalm 139:23-24 (TPT)
